How does a PhotoBlokz mosaic work?

A PhotoBlokz mosaic transforms your favorite picture into a physical piece of artwork made from individual capstones. Each capstone represents a pixel in the image, and together their colors and placement recreate the full photo. The size of your mosaic and the number of available pixels will determine how much detail appears in the finished design.

Will I assemble my PhotoBlokz kit myself?

Yes! Building the mosaic is part of the experience. Your personalized instructions show you where each colored capstone should be placed, making the process similar to a paint-by-number project. You can enjoy the build on your own or turn it into a shared activity with friends and family.

How much time should I expect the build to take?

Most builders complete one baseplate in approximately 20 minutes. Since each mosaic contains multiple baseplates, the total build time depends on the size you select. For example, a 3×3 mosaic contains nine baseplates and may take one person around three hours to complete.

You can work at your own pace and stop whenever needed. Storage bags are included with every kit to help keep your capstones separated and organized between building sessions.

How do I create my custom design?

Start by opening the PhotoBlokz builder and uploading the image you would like to use. The builder allows you to choose your mosaic size, reposition and crop your photo, adjust its brightness and colors, and edit individual pixels. Your preview updates as you make changes so you can see how the finished mosaic will look before adding it to your cart.

Will I be able to review my mosaic before purchasing?

Absolutely. The PhotoBlokz builder provides a live representation of your mosaic throughout the design process. Your completed project should closely resemble the preview, although minor differences may occur because screen settings, brightness levels, and display types can affect how colors appear digitally.

When should I expect to receive my order?

Orders are typically prepared and shipped within 1–2 business days after they are placed. Once your package is on its way, delivery time will vary based on the destination and shipping service selected at checkout. Visit our shipping policy for additional information.
